Refreshers were honestly my summer discovery a few years back, and I haven’t looked back since. No coffee, no crash, just fruity and cold and genuinely refreshing on a hot day.
If you’ve never gone past the Strawberry Açaí, here’s your sign to branch out.
1. Strawberry Açaí Refresher
The original, and still one of the best.
Made with real strawberry pieces and a hint of açaí, it’s light and not overly sweet. Order it as: Strawberry Açaí Refresher, ask for light ice if you want it stronger.
2. Mango Dragonfruit Refresher
Tropical, bright pink, and slightly tangy.
The dragonfruit pieces add texture on top of the flavor, which I love.
3. Pineapple Passionfruit Refresher
The newest of the core lineup, and honestly underrated.
Sweet pineapple with a slightly tart passionfruit finish. Great if you want something a little different from the usual berry flavors.
4. Pink Drink
The Strawberry Açaí Refresher made with coconut milk instead of water.
Creamier and slightly sweeter than the original, with the same strawberry pieces floating on top.
5. Paradise Drink
Same idea as the Pink Drink, but built on the Pineapple Passionfruit base with coconut milk instead of water.
Tastes almost like a tropical vacation in a cup.
6. Dragon Drink
The Mango Dragonfruit version made with coconut milk instead of water.
Creamy, tropical, and one of the more filling refreshers thanks to the coconut milk base.
7. Kiwi Starfruit Refresher
Green tea based instead of the white tea used in the others, giving it a slightly earthier, less sweet flavor.
Good option if the fruity ones feel too sugary for you.
8. Iced Guava Passionfruit
A limited time flavor that shows up occasionally, worth grabbing when it’s around.
Tart and tropical, similar to the Pineapple Passionfruit but with a slightly sharper edge.
How to Order Refreshers Like a Pro
- Ask for light ice if you want more actual drink and less melted water by the time you finish it.
- Add lemonade instead of water for extra sweetness and a citrus kick, this works on almost any refresher.
- Get it with coconut milk if you want a creamier, more filling version, this is basically how the Pink and Dragon Drinks are made.
- Ask for extra fruit inclusions if you love the texture, most locations will add a few extra scoops for a small charge.
Wrapping Up
Refreshers are proof that you don’t need caffeine to have a good drink order at Starbucks.
Try one of these on your next visit and let me know in the comments which flavor combo becomes your new favorite. I’m always looking for new ones to add to my rotation.
